Went out to the Jag Sunday morning, reinspected all the places we were working Saturday night & it finally hit me... the plastic cover around the steering rack column had jammed up into the sheetmetal of the car. This is why we couldn't get it to rotate to drop the bolts back in. pursuaded the plastic cover back into place and bolted her right up..... ran over to Advance to pick up the Sway Bar End Link, popped it in then buttoned it all up.
Removed the TC drain plug & was greeted with nice clean oil trying to flood out
Finally went for a ride... More than decent acceleration, shifts fine but the clutch engages about one inch up from the floor (is that normal?) ride is a bit soft, but it's a Jag...
So for $3200.00 i couldn't be more pleased

 

I know it's a bit cheeky to ask favors after only being on the forum for a few days but i'm out of town on business & don't have free time during the day...
Is there someone on this forum that I could contact to request a build sheet. This would allow me to get to know my Jag better while i'm away
I understand that you can only get this from a dealership...

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated
