Default Greetings from Central Virginia

Hello Jaguar fans,

I'm Bill. Over 50. Heck, I'm over 60, but who's counting?

I'm a fixit guy. Started working on '55 chevys as a teen-ager.

Background in analog electronics, air movement, refrigeration and thermal power systems. Presently review the work of younger, hard working folks.

The kids left home. Looking to replace the mini-van, I stumbled across a used 04 X-type. The front-end was reminescent of my previous all-time favorite car: the pre-stingray corvette. Color was similar to the new Mazda 3 that I'd purchased for the daughter. I said: "No, I can't buy/drive a Jag". No, no, no. Ok, just a test drive. Mis-matched tires, out of round, the ride was terrible! The car was in need of attention.
And it just followed me home...

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

I drive the 04 X-Type daily. The next, an 06 "parts car" turned out to be a low mileage cream-puff. Literally driven by a little old lady. So the 06 X-Type became a project car. An 03 with a sound body will "give of itself" so the other two may return to their former glory.

I'm presently looking for a IDS/VCM setup.

Looking forward to hearing from you-all.

Welcome to the forum Zircon04Xtype,

Good to have you with us.
It's awful when cars follow you home isn't it?
There is a thread running in the General Tech area discussing IDS which you may find interesting.

Welcome to the forum Bill,

Forgetting your age and being chased home by Jaguars. This is getting serious!

Good advice from Norri on the IDS and where to find X-Type help and information.

Let's see some pics of these predatory Jaguars.

Graham
