Default Greetings everyone

Hello, new member here from Northern California. We have a 2005 S-Type 4.2L that mainly gets babied but has been trouble free since we got her. Now the warranty has run it's course and I need to start paying attention to the technical side of the marque in order to keep her running well. I have worked in the automotive industry for 30 years and know my way around a wrench and DVOM and I'm looking forward to learning from this group. I also have a Land Rover Discovery II which so far appears to be much more simple than Jaguar. Thanks in advance.

Default New member, hello everyone. Kevin from North Carolina.

Hello, I just purchased a used 2004 Jaguar X-Type with a manual transmission and 2.5L engine with 175,000 miles on it for 6 thousand... AND joined this forum as an enthusiast wanna-be. I'm replacing the gas cover (body shop working on it now) and the A and C columns can use new cloth due to sun damage. I will be a better owner as I'm garaging it First shock? It came with one key and the dealer would like 400 dollars for one key and one remote entry AND a service appointment...
