Thumbs up Greetings & Salutations

This is my first time posting and the second time I've joined the forum. I didn't think I had anything to contribute so the membership lapsed the first time around. I own a 2000 XJ8 which has some of the little problems that crop up when a car gets older with higher mileage. I used to own a 2001 S-type but lost my job during the recession and sold it. I liked it very much as well as this one. I've been a computer industry professional for many years but started to do a lot of my own mechanical work in the 70's. I'm now working on resolving an intermittent TPS problem. This forum has been helpful in gaining ideas in how to fix problems as they occur.

Welcome to the forum.

Nice looking car. I particularly like the way that your tyres actually have some rubber on them.

Maybe this time round make a few more posts.

Post Vision & such . .

Thanks. You can tell it has substantial rubber on the tires from that photo? You have good eyes . .

Post Tires & sidewalls

Your response was accurate none the less on both counts. I had just replaced the rear tires as seen in that photo. I thought how can anyone tell? Nice coincidence.
