Cool hello

Hello im new to this forum i am the proud owner of a 1987 xjs v12 convertable i love this car as does everyone that sees it i have a problem with it though that i cannot figure out i am not sure if the distributor is bad ort what the distributor rotor was breaking apart so i replaced it because the car was stalling and running rough after which thencar ran perfect again until i got on the expressway and then the problem resurfaced has anyone had this problem or can someone tell me what to do to rectify it
