hello

hello! i;m the not so proud owner of a 99 xj8 purchased 3 yrs ago with 69,000 miles motor just locked up with 130,000 on the clock don't know what i'm going to do with it. maybe get some suggestions here. anyhow hello from middle tennessee!

Welcome..I heard in the past, that with some modifictions, you can drop in a GM 350Cuin and go from there..I maybe wrong on the model..but that seems to be the thing to do to some older Jags..

Welcome to the forums

I think chancing the engine itself will not satisfy you considerin you might need a tranny as well as PCM to enhance your performance and satisfaction . I would stick to Jaguar engine ( 4.0 liter 6 cylinder X300 engine )
