Default Hello!

Hello everyone. I'm Mitch from Oklahoma. I guess I should give a little background on how I have arrived here.

I have watched the insurance auction pool for wrecked cars to play with. Last August, I found a 1995 XJ6 in Oklahoma City that had been hit in front. I had intended to go take a look at it, but realized the auction was that day! There were no other bids (should have been an indicator), and I quickly won the car. I found out the mistake I had made when I went to pick it up. As well as the accident damage, the interior was complete trash. It has been sitting in a storage parking space while I've been trying to figure a way out.

Another came up for auction a couple of weeks ago. The damage was a burn in the engine compartment. Hey Hey! I have one with all of the things to repair that! Went to look at it before bidding, and all is good. There are a few minor areas that I will need to address, but overall my latest purchase is in very good condition.

I am quite sure I will be spending a lot of time here searching past posts and picking your brains to get my Jag up and running.

Thanks in advance,

Mitch

Welcome to the forum Mitch,

Sounds like it's going to work out OK now you've found the second XJ6.

Follow this link XJ X300 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' threads at the top there is a good place to start looking for regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Southwest Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/southwest-us-az-tx-nm-ok-37/ to find other members in your region.

Good luck with the project.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Have fun putting two cars together - plenty of spares but NEVER buy 'sight unseen'.

Hello Mitch,

More damage to your project car than anticipated?
I can relate to that! But that just means you will learn more in the restoration process.
Best of luck to you!

Bill
