Hello All!!
ok.. I know theres a few posts already about this, but I think my case is a bit unique 
Im about to buy a Jag for the first time. (about to as in 8 hours-ish) so time is short
I live in Hawaii (Oahu) so I cannot buy a Jag on ebay or auctions or etc.
Theres 1 Jag dealership on the island.
They have 1 2002 X-Type in Zircon Blue. 66k miles (ish)

They also have a 98 XJR for 16k that I was looking at with 76k miles.
The X-type seemed to drive nicely. When I floored the accelerator, the car seemed to want to shift a bit oddly at first, then seemed ok. Is that normal? (2.5 auto non sport)
The seat had a small rocking feel to it. Not really THAT noticeable until I read some of the other posts here, which brought it to mind.
I honestly dont see how the 02 is a "bad" buy... but just wanted some extra input on if its a "decent" buy. What about that 98 XJR... I wouldnt mind having a charged V8

10k for the xtype is low price. The 98 xjr with over 70k on it is tough call. Depends ic chains and tensionsrs gave been replaced. If not
you may spend 3 or 4 grand to get them replaced if they go bad.
give me about 30 minutes and I will give u some info on them. Waiting for doors to open. Ahhhh why they gotta be lazy on Monday mornings

Wow. that was fast. Thanks so much for the amazingly fast reply. Its 1:30 AM here in Hawaii.. I cant sleep because of this damned car. Is that normal?
Oh.. one VERY odd question... The X-type is on the same (basically) frame as the Contour? (Mondeo) I own an SVT Contour... Any chance I could steal the engine and put it in the Jag?

Bah. they sold the XJR.
They do have an 02 XJR though for 26k. 30k miles. Has the select Warranty.
And in that price range an 04 STR in racing green with 24k miles. Select Warranty. $27k
But of all the cars the 02 X-Type seems like the best buy.
Do you agree? Based on the 'well maintained at dealer' would you recomennd buyign the car? (Dont worry i wont hold anything against you, promse!)
