Default Hello from DC

New member here. I've been lurking for a few weeks now and decided I would follow some protocol and introduce myself. Looking to buy a 2008 XKR Portfolio by June. I originally was saving my coins for a Maserati GTS, but after a modest amount of research came to the conclusion that the XKR was best for me.

Quaker, welcome to the forums. I'm just south of you by an hour down near California, MD. Get the Jag. You won't be disappointed. I am wanting to take a step up to something like what you are looking at. If you ever need a hand, let me know. I love putting a wrench to cars and I can help teach you about the car should you feel the desire to learn something. Also, keep an eye out. I want to get some things going this summer to help people put faces with the names here. Besides, it is always fun to have a BBQ somewhere and have a bunch of cars to drool over.

Welcome quaker13. I think you've made the right choice. I guarantee that with the input of this forum you'll be much more able to keep your Jaguar running on your terms, than if you purchased the Maserati, an equally impressive vehicle (but with no support, such as found here). Buy some metric tools, binder, paper and ink for your printer, and settle in for the ride of your life. There is nothing like a Jaguar! Enjoy!
