Default Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone
My name is Mark. I have a 2001 XJ8. I also have a 2003 Boxster S. I have a garage here in the forum and have posted several times. I presently have repaired all my issues except cylindar 8 misfire when cold. I will be adding a new water pump and some other small items to the front of the motor. My diagnostics to repair the 8 mis is to swap coil packs replace plugs and verify no oil in the plug well. Also the missfire goes away when the engin meets 50-100% run temperature. any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
I think you have a good plan, do what you suggest and then see how it goes.

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Hi mark, i'm with Norri, your plan is solid. if the misfire jumps to another cylinder, its definitely the coil. Else, plugs and valve covers here you come!
