Default Hello everyone new member in Kentucky

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2003 S Type with the V8. It has about 90,000 miles but seems to run, shift and handle properly. I expect to have some issues but I hope they won't be too bad. I have already removed the film on the headlights and given the car a through cleaning. I am not a mechanic but I do know an honest one who tells me he thinks he can work on most things on it. I know it has used synthetic oil and I plan to continue that as well

I have learned a lot by browsing this forum and appreciate the help you folks provide. I notice many of you have a great deal of knowledge and I look forward to contributing what I can. I will put a photo of the car on soon but we have very cold snowy weather right now.

Again, hello and thanks.

Welcome to the forum Bilbo1953,

90K miles is nothing to worry about on a modern Jaguar.

It sounds like you already know the way to the tech section but if not, follow Norri's link to the S-Type section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham
