Default Hello from northern Viginia

I've been a Jaguar fan since childhood, and I finally stepped up to the plate and bought one yesterday. I'm now the new owner of a 2004 XJR.

Anyway, I thought I'd say hello and say thanks for creating a forum with such useful info.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.

Thanks again, guys. I'm stupid-excited about it. The dealership had to replace the windshield (small crack in it), so it hasn't even made it home yet. I was hoping for holiday weekend driving, but I'm not complaining.

Hi there ! I see you have the lovely light-coloured leather. Mine is too, and it does take some attention to keep it clean, but then, it is so nice !

Yeah, the leather color was as important to me as the exterior color. I'm sure there will be plenty of Saturday afternoons spent trying to keep them clean.

In other news, this damned rainy weather is preventing the windshield repair from being done. I've owned the car for nearly a week, and it's still never seen it's new home. It's supposed to be raining for the next 4 or 5 days...

The interior is a great place to be with that lovely light leather, warm and welcoming. Hard to keep clean but well worth it IMO.

BUMMER on the windscreen repair being held up due to bad weather, surely they can do it inside under cover though??

You would think so, right? I'm going to call them again tomorrow to see what the deal is. One more weekend without it and I'll be doing the sadface.

So, the deal is that tropical storm Lee held up deliveries and they're just off-schedule. I'm told the repair is set for tomorrow, so my fingers are crossed.

Hello, Brashton. I just saved the photos to Imageshack, then copied the direct link and posted it between img tags. They look like this: [img]link link link link[/img]. You can also click the picture icon (looks like a mountain) and paste the link that way.

Looking forward to seeing your XJR!

I,m so jealous. Took a 2007 XJR for a test drive last weekend, little out of my price range but the car I went to look at wasn't available. Limited edition with the machine metal look inside instead of wood. Awesome. maybe in a couple of years.
