Default Hello from the wintery UK

Hello from an X Type owner wishing it was 4x4 to deal with our prolonged winters - oh and an MOT on my vehicle would help - just failed due to the warning light for the airbag staying on - can anyone help? More details here:

Welcome to the forum Lee Pegrum,

If only you'd had it tested last week before the new Regs came in......

Most airbag faults turn out to be a broken wire or dirty sensor. Component failure is less common.

Good luck and enjoy the forum.

Graham

Default Thanks

Thank you guys for the kind welcome. I am sure we will get it sorted out with your help. At the moment if he goes back having removed the bulb from the light it will only be an advisory! It does need sorting out and he is checking the connections again tonight.

Lee,

With the new MoT just coming into force this week, reports like this on how Testing Stations are applying them are few as yet.

Interesting to hear an illuminated warning is classed as a 'Fail' but the same bulb out is only an 'Advisory'.
