I don't think they are related. The clicking sounds like battery or starter.

They likely allowed the battery to drain by leaving the bonnet or door open. Minor, and easily recharged, but it may be an indicator you battery is gettong weak and in need of replacement.Won't hurt to have a "load" test on the battery.

May be your fuel pump relay might be shot too . However my money is on the drained battery too

Start with the battery recharge and test. It's free. If it were the fuel pump the car would turn over, just not start. The clicking sound points elsewhere.

STARTER!...I would take the starter out and check it too. Free check at the auto parts store. Start with the battery though.
