Default Help!!!!!!!!!

Well first of all I will introduce myself.....My name is Earl and I am 34 years old and live in wisconsin.I do investment grade restoration for a living.I have had a great career and have restored and worked on many great cars including the only Tucker convertible, christine, many corvettes, and American rods and muscle cars.I recently did a repaint on a 1973 xke and bought my first Jaguar.I bought a 1999 xj8l That was hit front and back....The car has a misfire at idle and the restricted performance light is on.I scanned the car and came up with these codes-p1316-p1000-p0125-p0116-p0711-p0327-p1313-p0101-p0171-p0174. I have the car done and have drove it a little.... it runs pretty well for having this many codes....really I wouldnt be afraid to drive it anywhere....it feels good minus the misfire at idle and it doest run past 3000 rpm. I have not started doing any mechanical work to it yet...I wanted to get some good opinions before I started throwing sensors at it.I would be happy to give advise on paint proplems and some how to's on body work.To anyone who reads this......thank you for yor time and have a great day.

welcome aboard the forum Earl, great to have you here with us.
nice intro thanks for sharing.....

Just a little advice though when posting - you may want to break your text up a little as large blocks make it hard to read and pout some members off reading through!

As fore help? Please try posting into the corrct section for your vehicle and I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses........Good luck

Loads going on, plenty of very friendly and helpful members as well as some excellent tech advice......all good!

In the meantime I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view the site

Hello Earl and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
