Default RE: Hey....

Welcome Steve, I have some advice for you my friend. There are alot of good threads in the XK8/XKR section, either directly diving into the problems that could arise in your newly acquired purchase, and what questions to ask of the previous owner/dealer. If you can't get good answers from the prior owner, perhaps you should keep looking. I recommend you thumb thru the first 10 pages or so, and see what issues the owners of the 97-98-99 year models have had, and it should get you to be pretty dangerous when hunting down your potential new car. If you still have some questions after rummaging around those XK threads, then post your question in that area to be answered (or at least attempted)

Wish you luck, and how did you come up with that interesting screen name? lol

Welcome Steve,

I've had two XK8's a '98 and an '06 also a few vette's along the way.... totally different cars just depends on what your looking for. I tend to keep my cars for a couple of years....... so can't help with long term maintenance/service issues.

good luck ..... these are good decisions to have to make!
