Just wanted to reach out and hey, new to the forum but have had my 2004 jag XJ* for 2 years. The car has been fantastic but needs an EGR valve. I got a price of $832 from my local dealer in Palm Beach and was rather disappointed. I'm going to call them back tomorrow and ask for a breakdown of part vs. labor but it seems like a rather fluffy price. Any input would be welcomed. $203 quoted for a fuel filter and $199 for fuel system cleaning. I'll look forward to what the Jaguar community has to say about that EGR valve.

That'll be a 2004 XJ8? I can understand your 'disappointment' at the EGR valve replacement!

Before committing to the quote, definitely worth posting the question in XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section. I'm sure the experts will be able to suggest ways of making a saving.
