Smile Hi All

I am Jamjagboy98- bought my first jag a few months ago- XJ8-VD 1998- black 67k miles. No major issues except need to change the thermostat -radaitor and hose, will need a paint job, the pole dosent move makes that sound, sun-roof wilbe repalced. Also the sub-woofer is blown.

I plan to put the time and effort along with the money to get this car to whwere i want it to be.I look forward communicating to and with other members on this forum in the Jaguar World.

Thanks.

Trevor

Hi Trevor, welcome to jaguarforums. You have a good list of things to take care of, but it looks like you are on the road to making the car what you want of it. You'll find a lot of helpful folk here, who will be only too glad to answer any questions you have. Get settled, and post some pictures of your new ride.

Steve

Welcome to the forum.

Good to have you with us.

I'd get the VD sorted first and then work on the T'Stat etc.

Hope you find the forums useful.

Welcome to the forum Trevor,

Thermostat and any other cooling system issues need to be the priority. The V8 is very sensitive to overheating.

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
I think I agree with Richard on this one. :-)

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Hi Trevor,
Welcome to the forum. I'm new myself.

I really admire that you are trying to get the Jag to be in mint condition. I've had my share of problems with the cooling system, the leak from the anti-freeze chamber, thermostat issue, and etc. and I must agree with everyone that the cooling system fixing, was real important.
