I've been lurking here for some time and after four weeks of car shopping, I took the plunge.
I'm the proud owner of a beautiful 1997 dark blue XK8!
It is such a beautiful ride!
I negotiated a good price for it, knowing that it needed suspension work. I'm now ready to send it off to my mechanic (lower control arms etc.)
I'll be doing some of the work myself in the future. I'm an over-the-hill backyard mechanic but I was drummed out of the corp when I accidentally installed a radiator with a shipping cap still on.
This Jag is an opportunity for me to get my Cred back! haha
I've already gotten a lot of information by searching on this site and ya'll seem like a nice community. I'm not sure what I can contribute but hopefully I'll be an asset in the future. On the other hand, you can rely on me not to talk up when I really don't have anything to say!
