Default Hi from New Hampshire

We just joined the forum and own a 1999 XK8 convertible. We bought the car in October 2009 and it is wonderful. After reading about the cam chain tensioners we decided to take a look. Good thing we did. Both secondary cam chain tensioners were split the full length of the plastic casing. Also, two rails were split in two places each. Looks like we saved ourselves from a potential disaster. We are headed to Richmond tomorrow for the JCNA Annual Meeting and hope to meet some forum members in VA. Best regards, Seven and Cynthia.

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you here.
It sounds like a lucky escape with those tensioners.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Hope the weather is nice up there!
