Hi from new member
I've been an car nut for as long as I can remember (over 40 years anyway), and just love restoring car, and tackling challanges. I am not a mechanic, and self taught and have an office day job. Within the last few years, I have built a huge shed, installed a hoist, and bought in every tool that I've needed (over time), including computer scanners, air conditioning equipment etc. Most recent projects include repairing a first generation prius (battery pack & electic assist power steer), fully restored a 64 Healey Sprite, and the latest is a 1999 S Type Jaguar V8,
So far on the Jag, I've repaired the 5R55N automatic, replaced the AC compressor and regassed, replaced on electric window mech, replaced the brakes/machined discs, and I'm about to replace the sterio unit and interion rear vision mirror.
I've joined this forum seek answers to questions not found in manuals and share the knowledge I've gained.
Thank you for proving a fantasic avenue to share knowledge.
