Hello,

I wanted to contribute, as well as take. I have a 2litre petrol auto 02 X-Type and found this forum invaluable over the last week - to help me navigate a 70,000mile service incl spark plug change ie inlet manifold removal. Without any hope of help from a Haynes manual (why don't they make one of those for the X-Type?) I absolutely needed the help you provided.

I hesitate to bore anyone with what I did wrong,

but it included introducing a air leak/diagnosing and fixing it, and also triggering an ECU warning and resetting that. All with your help. Net saving versus Jaguar dealer, £350+.

Thank you for such a useful and helpful forum. I hope I can be a net contributor along the way.

I have had the X-Type for 18 months and it has been a great car, excellent value and the most luxurious ride I have ever been able to afford.

Welcome to the forums ,X Type are made for that as well. The most affordable Jaguars ever made without sacrificing lux,comfort and anything else you would find in a Jaguar

Hey ianm welcome to the site.....great intro and info on how useful you found the forum

The X type is a great car. i loved my 02 2.5 V6 Sport

which I had a while back.
