Hi,
I am new to this forum, and had an incident with my car this morning. I cleaned the leather of my 2002 jaguar x-type car with a leather all purpose armour all cleaner and got tons of dirt off my seats etc. I hadn't cleaned them in a long time. When I sprayed the drivers seat, there was a spot, I rubbed lightly to get it out, but it wouldn't come out. It is a worn part of the seat, and it stained it a mildew color. After some warm water and real leather color, it is now a yellowish tint on a grey leather. If it take it to my dealer will they be able to restain that section of leather? it is a 3*3 inch yellow spot, and how much do you think this will cost. I always have taken good care of this car, so it makes me sick to see the seat look so bad. I think the leather is also getting old and wearing down in that part. Any suggestions???

You can dye the small spot yourself. Leatherique has a website that will detail how to do it using their dyes

Welcome to the forum Jagnewbie, please post 'tech' type questions into the forum for you car and no duplicate posts thanks. They will be deleted (as they have been).

Hope you get your leather sorted out, we also have an Interiors section with good advice about refinishing leather.
