After 12 years of Audi... it was time for something different. The Jaguar has always made me weak in the knees, but I thought it would be awhile before I could own one. I loved my M-I-L's 1998 XR but she owuld never part with it.

So my Audi reached 99000 miles. It needed about $7000 work, with rumors of transmission failure in the near future. So I started looking.

I drive a bit more than most, about 20k per year, and that is expected to increase a bit. I was looking at the Japanese reliables, but shoot me now if I had to drive a Camry.

Then.... on a whim.. I searched for a car like the mother in law's. And found it! I out off looking at it for a few days then went to look.

It is a 1998 Van den Plas, with 34k original miles and in BEE YOO TEE FULL condition! So, after 4 hours at the dealership, I bought it! They took my Audi, gave me a bit more than I anticipated and I drove home in my gorgeous new car!

I am so happy! I almost can't believe it! And it feels like I stole from the dealer, trading my Audi and $9500!


I'll be hanging around to learn more, but
I am a very happy girl!
