Intro- Tonto
Hi I live in Woodlands, TX and am the owner of a 1997 XK8 convertable in BRG. To date I have not worked on the car much myself.......always had the local dealer do it. However the last time I went to pick it up I opened the hood to find loose nuts and bolts(many of them) on top of the various engine compartment covers. I am now looking to do more of my own work. I've owned British sportscars since the late 60s. MGs and Austin H.
Thanks for the help on my top to all.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum Tonto,
Follow Norri's link to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information.
Many here work on their own vehicles to avoid that kind of unpleasant surprise with the loose nuts and bolts and to know it's done right.
Enjoy the forum.
Graham
