Default Introducing myself with a question...

Hi all
I'm an English ex-pat Jaguar enthusiast based in Toronto, Canada.
Anyway, while I'm introducing myself, I thought I might as well get my first question out of the way : )

I have done a forum search but have not found the specific info I'm looking for but please feel free to link me to a thread regarding my question if I've missed something here.

My father-in-law and I are trying to get a beautiful 1992 Jaguar XJS 4.0L back on the road. After a painstaking few days and some bloody knuckles, we've removed the starter and now are searching for a new one. Can anyone recommend a reliable online source (US or Canada) for a Bosch Starter - reman is okay as long as the solenoid has been replaced. Have had a look on ebay but not sure of quality. If anyone can point us toward a good source it would be much appreciated - it'll be winter up here before long!

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum london boy,

Follow this link XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJS section for help and advice. Some of the guys there have had their vehicles down to the last nut and bolt and rebuilt so they should be able to point you to a Starter source.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Graham

Thanks guys. Will head over there now. BTW - the XJS is a '92 - I mis-typed as 1991 : )
