Hey everyone new to the site. I have an issue with my xk8 my obd2 scanner says my transmission thermostat is stuck to open any help with figuring out where this thermostat is even located would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sorry to hear you've an issue with your XK8.

For DTC's it's always a good plan to post the actual code(s) rather than what a scanner or anyone who has scanned gives as the interpretation of the code.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

 

There not a thermostat in a trans, only a temp probe. If thats bad you replace the internal wiring harness to the valve body as the probe is in the harness

 

I also think that there's no thermostat in transmission, i think you should go to the nearest auto shop and let them examine it for you they will tell you what jaguar replacement parts will you change and i know they can fix it for you.
