Let me introduce myself.
Greetings JaguarForums community. My name is Phillip Johnson im from Oklahoma City, OK I owned two XJ's in my life a 1997 X300 and a 2004 X350. I loved those cars and it broke my heart to lose them, and quite frankly my life hasn't felt complete since. I currently drive a 2006 trailblazer as my mule and Im saving up to buy my first XK. Can't decide if i want a first generation XK or the second. Im leaning toward the second generation (Im a sucker for curves in cars and women). I joined the site for my mother who owns a 2003 Jaguar S-type V6 Ebony/Sand. She loves it and had quite a bit of work done on her mainly maintenance and a oil leak. Its been a great car to my mother but it is base and as any S-type owner knows there are a few trim pieces on these cars that dont meet the quality these machines deserve. Also there are some features on newer S-types my mother would like added as well as some projects i would like to start working on. im looking forward to the wealth of information this forum has and in the future to add to the forum myself.
Welcome to the group.
I've driven only Jags for many years now. I can't imagine being without one....so I think I understand what you're feeling :-)
There's a large and very well informed XK contingent here. They'll be glad to help you decide what to buy. Lately I've been having some XK dreams myself...so I might be listening in :-)
Cheers
