Default Mark another car...

...off the list of cars that I put together that I'd own some day. After years of admiring, test driving and coming close to pulling the trigger 3-4 times, we finally purchased our first Jag...'99 Vanden Plas in Mistral Metallic.

So far, thanx to the advise found on this forum, a few bulbs replaced, interior detailed, fluid changes, new filters, new mats...all those things that we do when we purchase a used vehicle to make it "ours". Well, not really "ours"...as I've learned. Thus far my lovely wife has made it abundantly clear that the "Vandy" is HERS...i just get to handle the maintenance. Nothing new about that.

Thanx to those who have provided concise details, instructions or advice. Also, a special thanx to Jimc64, who finally got me set up to post &/or ask questions.

Well... I'm glad your wife decided you can't ever drive the "Vandy"...lol. And since you've taken all the time in the world to TELL us all about your VDP, why don't you SHOW her to us?

Mainly because...

JK. Enjoy her!! I know your wife will...lol

Welcome Crosbo, to 'simplify' your life, you'll just have to get another one;-)

Enjoy maintaining your wife"s car.

Thanx All.

I like your idea Translator. In fact, my wife caught me looking at a few XK's online, then asked why it is that I would get the sports car and she would be STUCK with the family sedan.

I said "fine...I'll find you a Toyota or something and take the Jag for myself..." End of discussion.

Road trip to Oklahoma coming up in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to our first lengthy trip in the Jag.

Again, thanx for the welcome guys. Have a great Sunday/Monday.

Thanx Jamey.

I'll see what I can do for trip photos Translator. Hopefully the weather will be "nice" i.e., warm and sunny.

You got it Mohrd.

Besides, another wife would be decidedly more expensive than picking up another Jag.

Crosbo...I gotta say that is one of the more gorgeous colors I've seen yet (aside from BRG of course...lol).

Anyway...why not get another Jag...you can always get more women with a Jag than you can Jags with one woman.

(JUST KIDDING!!!! Not wanting to offend the women-folk here.)
