Default Merry Christmas

hello. I'm new to this forum. I usually frequent jag-lovers.org for my older Jags, but this seems to be the right place for the more modern cars.

After looking for the right car for over a year, I finally bought my '05 XJR. 77,000 miles, Charcoal interior with Nav. Found it at an online dealer site, flew to Dallas, and drove her home to Nashville. What an amazing car!!

Been browsing this forum for months educating myself about what to look for in these cars, and their typical problem areas. Imagine my good fortune when I was going thru some receipts I found folded up in the owner's manual booklet: One was for all four brake rotors and brake service at a total of $1600. The other was for new front air springs/shocks and air compressor at a total of $2700. Both of these repairs were done in the last 10,000 miles.

The car has the obligatory cold engine belt squeak, and I'm hoping that was the reason the previous owner sold it. (fearing it was something more serious...) So I'll fix that myself.

The other issue is the rear fog lights. ...Or lack thereof. The bulbs test good, but the dash icon doesn't light up. I tested the dash switch, and it is altering the resistance, so I assume it's okay. Any other ideas?

thanks for reading.

Welcome to the forum Mike,

The XJR looks great.

Follow Norri's link to the X350 section for help, advice and information. The HOW TO section there is a good place to start for regular issues.

Enjoy the forum.
