Smile My New Jaguar XJ8-SE 4.0L

Hi All,

Got myself a shiny silver jag !

It feels really nice, but makes a bit of noise when driving. It's sort of suspension noise, and I may be being a bit picky.

I have replaced rear shocks, and front and rear anti-roll bar bushes, but still doesn't "feel" correct. I am taking it to my local Jaguar Dealer in Cheltenham who carry out a FREE 45 minute vehicle check for major faults.

Lovely car though! Everyone is really impressed with it.

Welcome chewy, what year is the car...and got a pic to show it off as well?

Im sure if its a suspension problem, that will be easy to track down. Good luck with the new car!

Hi All, Thnaks for the comments. It's a 2002 model. I'll get some pics up when the sun shines!

I had the Jag Dealer give her the once over today and they said all was fine.

I was driving home this eveninf when the gearbox fault light came on and it locked into top gear. I got home, but very difficult.

There had been a "spinning" type noise coming from the front under hard acceleration, I had though this was the steering pump, but I guess not. I think this might be expensive !!!

John :-(

sounds like 'limp home' mode. Back to the dealer...and hope you can get it fixed.

Sounds like your tranny may be a bit under the weather.
