new on the block
Hi all, this is the first an only forum I have joined so please bear with me. I've owned my S reg XJ8 (308) for 5 years now, I puchased her secondhand and she's beautiful. However I have a problem which I hope someone out there will be able to help me with. My headlight only work when in automatic, now before I go and buy a new indicator stalk/switch can anyone tell me if there is a relay for it and it's location. I have checked the fuse and thats OK. Thank you. I look forward to taking part in your forum.

I am not sure about your specific fuse question, but the auto-only 'feature' you seem to have found does lead toward the stalk being at fault. I mean its either headlights work, or they don't (which would be a fuse). You could always try for a salvage part, if you're feeling lucky. They go out once in awhile, but not often.

Welcome to the Forum trainman I'm not familiar with this function, but I also doubt that it is a fuse because the lights work. (I could be wrong though)
Why not ty asking over in the XJ8/XJR forum for your model year.
