I just got my first jag. so far i love it and wll i am a mechinaic by trade never really been under the hood of these much but the deal i got on it i couldnt pass it up i sold my mud truck for it well kinda i now am th very proud owner of a 1996 xj6 with the 4.0 green with a light tan interior it needs some work hey what to expect for a 200.00 dollar car lol look forward to talk with with everyone here and helping when i can

you need to post up before and after pictures...

 

i shall do my best to get pictures up as soon as i can and you know go figure a few days after i sell my truck we get a ton of rain oh well much more comfortable ride yep it was only 200 needs some work but its not that bad i drive it daily needs a little interior work and back shocks but other than that its a great car.

one question tho i noticed last night that the carbon build up is more on the back 3 cyclinders than the front any ideas on causees would be great just cleand out the egr valve and wow its was pluged full of carbon new plugs in last night too

hi i'm also in florida (near tampa) new to this site and to an xk8. i also got a good deal on mine not as good as yours and she needs some work. she is getting new hydrolic lines right now.
