New to This Forum
Hello, all!
I am new to this forum as well as to Jaguar ownership.
I did post a couple of times sooner, but that was because I needed information in order to make my purchase decision. However, now that I've made the purchase, I figured I'd introduce myself.
Two years ago, I was in negotiations with a dealership for a new 2007 X-Type but ended up buying a 2009 Lincoln MKZ. In July, I placed an order for what would be the last of the Mercury Mariners (a 2011 model); unfortunately, that order has yet to be accepted by Ford for build. As a result, I went to Plan B...getting a nice used 2007/2008 X-Type. As of today, July 27, 2010, I have made a deal with a dealership in Indiana to purchase a Jaguar Select 2007 X-Type in Jaguar Racing Green with Champagne interior. She is loaded...pretty much everything that was listed as an option in the brochure save the 18" wheels and possibly satellite radio (both of which I really don't care for).
The only thing I wish I had done was to go see the vehicle in person but, living in Maryland, I had to rely on the many emails and phone calls with the salesperson.
I am expecting to receive the sales documents to arrive by FedEx today. Once I do, I need to fill them out and return with a loan check. Afterward, they will arrange for the vehicle to be shipped to me soon.
Hopefully, she (my wife named her Ellie) will be a nice addition to my small fleet!

On her way!
Got a call from the salesman yesterday evening. He told me that the transport arrangements have been made. She will be picked up from the lot today (Friday) in Indiana and is guaranteed to be delivered to me by Sunday.
