Default New to the Forum

Hello. I'm new to all of this (forums, threads, posting) as well as new to Jaguar ownership. Example: it took me 10 minutes to figure out that "new thread" was how you get to post.

I have a 2012 Jaguar XF Base model. Got it in September 2012. It then spent the months of November and December in North Carolina, hidden from the ravages of Hurricane Sandy. We're together again and enjoying each other.

I plan to just poke around the various forums (correct terminology?) and try to learn things about my model and other models.

BTW I have no idea what "Trackbacks" and "post a poll" mean. I'll learn I guess.

Welcome to the forum JackG,

You're doing OK so far - escaped Sandy and found the forum!

This link to Jaguar Forums Advice section Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum has plenty of advice on the basics to get you started on how the forum works.

Follow this link XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XF section for help, advice and information. This is the tech section for your model and the place to post questions / find answers. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US North East Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/north-east-us-me-nh-vt-ma-ri-ct-nj-ny-pa-35/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
