New to forum
Hello everyone. I have acquired a 2001 xk8 convertible and love it when it runs!!! I live in West Texas where there is only a limited amount of weather
which will delay driving the car daily. (dream car was always an XK-E from the 60s and almost spent the 5000 for a new one after coming back from South East Asia but decided on a wife instead (stupid me). Now have a black on black with black leather inside, I am in LOVE again. hobbies are amateur radio and staying in trouble with new wife. I am in my late 60's and retired from communications and control systems on oil/gas pipelines in west Texas area.

The XK-E could have been the lower cost option over the years!
I know you've already found the XK8/XKR tech section so no need for a link from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Hi Tom from West Texas - welcome to the forum. I think we all wanted an XKE in the past, but you know, the XK8 is probably the more sensible choice for this day. Look forward to hearing more from you in the XK8/XKR section.
