Hello folks,

I've been searching/reading the forums for a few weeks this month and finally joined today. I like the nice tone/helpful enthusiasts on this forum.

I'm a big time track junkie/instructor (BMW's), newbie to the Jeep scene, and hoping to buy a 04+ XJR within the next 24 hours or week.

I've been looking at a few XJR's and found an 04 XJR model with 89K miles - clean car, no accidents, leased vehicle history - no service records (bummer), but quite nice.

Quick question - (f this is the appropriate place, might place a similiar ques in the XJR section). What if any are problem areas to be concerned for this car? - I can't seem to find anything major searching the forums, but this being the 1st year for this generation of car - thought to ask.

I have an 04 and love it. My only guess would be the air suspension issue some cars seem to have. I might be wrong, but I have it

 

I guess the air suspension either works...or has a problem...no wear characteristics. Thanks for your response.

 

Welcome Airdoc. As you have noticed you will get better Tech responses over in the XJR section, and yes people are friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful.

Look forward to the pics, are we going to see it on the track?

 

Heheh....as tempting as it may seem...I don't have plans to track this thing at all.....but....hehhe...but...I just might have to take it out once

Thanks for the welcome - put a deposit on the 04 XJR - will return from work travels this weekend (weather permitting) and hopefully travel a few hours out of town to inspect/purchase.
