New Member - 2001 XJR
I am doing my happy dance today, as the transport truck showed up with my "new to me" 2001 XJR. It only has 17K on the clock. It still smells new. AHHHH. I've been trying for a year to find a car that "fits" me. I just wasn't an M5 kinda guy, the E55 AMG was too sterile, then my wife said the other weekend have I ever thought about getting a Jag. DING! Man I love my wife. PERFECT car. Good balance of sportiness and class. :-)
Anyway, great forum. I think I've printed out a bunch of things I needed answers to. I had a classic BMW before this, and it seemed everybody had some sort of testosterone problem there. Fights breaking out all the time. Glad to see it's a lot more calm over here.
Will post some pics when I'm allowed to.

Welcome to the forum, no fights tolerated around here, you will find that this is one of the friendliest forums around. With eveyone pulling together to help each other out.
Super low miles you have there, just make sure that your servicing is up to date.
Look forward to the pics.

Yeah, I got the records from the Jag dealer in Denver. Pretty standard stuff, plus the water pump got replaced. The one thing that hasn't been changed are the TC tensioners. Luckily Nalley Jaguar is about 20 minutes from my house. I've got to get a few parts there anyway, so I'll see what they charge there. Needs tires too, P-Zeros on it, nuff said. Ha!
Again great job with the board, it was easy to know what the issues are with the car before I bought. Tons of info on the board. :-)

Welcome from me too Paul, thanks for all the kind words on the forum, we've been growing very steadily over the last few years. I like to think jag owners not only have great taste, but are more refined, polite, and considerate. Care for some tea this afternoon?
