Hello all. I am the proud(most days) owner of a '92 XJS. This is my second Jag and 5th British car. Obviously I enjoy working on cars. This is my first V12 and like most it had the routine engine fire, this one due to bad insulation on the engine harness. Luckily not much was damaged but it still put the car out of service for almost a year. I decided to make a new harness myself, this time out of a wire suitible for high temperatures. Like most car projects it turned into more than it started out to be. While the intake manifolds were off I decided to power coat them, as well as the fuel rail, throttle parts, throttle bodies, water manifolds and many other small parts. I removed the radiator and had it rebuilt, replaced the heater core and all A/C parts and sent the injectors to Jaguar Fuel Injection for cleaning. I removed the exhaust and made a new system without cat convertors. After much work it finally came together and now runs much better(most of the time) and gets decent mileage for a car this big. It even won first place in a local British Car show! I look forward to reading and posting.
