Cool New Member

Syracuse, NY. 1994 xjs 2+2, 4.0, red convertible. I have had the car for approximately 8 years and love it but, lately it has become a problem child. Luckily I do most of the work myself but, it is becoming quite a challenge with wiring, computers and electronics. Hopefully there is some good advice available. Lot of friends trying to get me to do the LT1 or LS1 conversion but so far I am resisting.

The later XJSs were the best built in terms of bodies and mechanicals, but of course the era of complex electronics had started !

Default Limp home mode

Still working on it - I have now removed and cleaned the Mass air, TPS sensor,, replaced transmission warning relay and am cleaning and putting contact corrosion inhibitor on many of the engine management component contacts. It is going to be trial and error -I am trying to avoid getting into transmission compnents and switches.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
