I am new to the S-Type R Forum... Worked for Ford for 36 years... Did a lot of work with Jaguar and Aston Martin when I was in Ford Research. Lucky enough to be able to least 5 Jaguars from Ford when they owned them. 1) An S-Type 4.0 Alpine Green (loved the color). 2) An S-Type-R in Graphite, 3) An S-Type R in Jaguar Racing Green (the best color they make in an R, 4) An XJ in graphite and finally and 5) An X-Type in Jaguar Racing Green...

Now retired and lusting for a Jaguar, I picked up a 2005 Silver S-Type R with 78,000. Absolutely outstanding condition. Very happy. It will probably spend the winters and rainy days in my garage. Looking forward to being part of the forum.

Welcome to the forum jw. Congrats on the STR! Loads of information in the S Type Section , especially in the FAQ thread to keep her running tip top.

Watchout for the STR guys in there though, they will have you opening that retirement account and modding her out!

Enjoy all the site has to offer!

Question Power steering pulley removal

I have a 2001 S-Type. 4.0L. In the process of replacing the timing chain tensioners since the passenger side failed. I removed the power steering pump and am replacing (it's been making lots of noise and steering is harder). anyhow, I'm having a hard time trying to get the pulley off. Is there a bolt or nut that is holding it in place, or is it just really difficult? Its the original pump.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James
