Hi all,
My name is Jerry and I live in the Seattle area. Bought my 2000 XJR new online and have never regretted it. The car works good as long as you do the maintenance (I have not always done so and it cost me). A few things on the Jag that seem to be common is the Part-Load Breather. Please keep it clean approximately every 10-15K (it is like the old PCV valves). It will save you lots of headaches.
I have read lots of ASC warnings. Mine did this for a long time until it started getting noisy in the rear of the car. Of all things, it was the wheel bearing, and hardly anyone checks to make sure your wheel is not loose. It took away all the warnings and now works good.
Anyway, I know my car well, so if there seems to be issues I will try to relay my experiences to you.
Look forward to collaborating.
