I just bought my first Jaguar. It's a 2001 XKR convertible, and it was love at first site. Three weeks later, I bought another xkr, a 2003 Arden Jaguar convertible, and now I do not know which I love more. Both are fantastic cars and I just love them.

Thank you all for putting out this very knowlegable site, this is my first time in a forum, found this one by doing searches on repairing a 01 Vandan Plas, discovered very quickly there is not alot of accurate technical info out there but was very impressed by the knowlege of the people here. As im getting ready to dive into a 4.0 with a bent valve, im sure i'll have alot of questions. I'm a certified diesel mechanic, so i understand theory quite well, but there is a world of difference between a class 8 semi motor and a Jaguar motor! Hate to ask right away, but does anyone know where i can get the specs and procedures for cylinder head R&R and all that goes with that? I bought JTIS, but it does not list procedures, torque values, sequences and such. After 3000.00 already in a repair that the shop still has not fixed correctly and a 5000.00 quote to fix the bent valve, i decided it's time to get a little gas on my hands instead of diesel! Thank you all in advance
