Hi to all. I joined the forum and read many posts regarding the problem I had. I then realised that the forum is mainly for the USA and I am in the UK so the spec on the cars is slighly different, but hey!!! still sorted my problem. many thanks to all of you. I hope to be able to share my limited knowledge with you.

Welcome to the forum Ian,

Although mainly US, we have members from all over the World here.

Good to hear you found the answer to your X-Type problem. Regardless of any differences in spec for various markets, there's a wealth of knowledge here and the collective brains are rarely beat for a solution.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome Ian,
As Graham said lots of us have UK/European cars and don't have any problem getting the right advice. It is an amazing resource which I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Welcome to the forum Ian,

Good to have you with us.
Just remember when someone says drivers side, it may not mean what you think.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
