Hi, I'm a new member to this Forum, although I am a member several others, RTOC, Audi and Honda CRX. I have recently bought an 99 'S' type 3lt that promptly ran its big ends! However a secondhand engine sorted that.

I am an engineer and boatbuilder and have a workshop full of projects as jim64 will testify!

My son is the Terraclean dealer for Glasgow area. I had the Jag done 4 weeks ago. The differance is unbelivable, much quieter with improved mpg. My racing CRX is currantly for sale to make way for my new racing/track day Audi Coupe Quattro Turbo and Lotus Europa fitted with a 3.6 Audi V8!

The Quattro was my day to day driver untill the Jag came along. The Jag takes me back 40 or so years when I had a 3.8 mk11 fitted with a 'D' type head.
It was in Midnight Blue.
The insurance was even cheap...thoughs were the days.....4 gal for a pound!

Welcome to the forum tfjb1,

That was a wonderful reintroduction to Jaguar motoring for you. Hope Jim wasn't responsible for finding it! The days of 4s/10d per gallon - I too remember them.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.

No, no, I had already bought it before I met Jim, he was having his Audi Terracleaned and told me about the Forum.
