1997 XK8 black on black, 88K
New motor from the dealer 30K ago
Transmission rebuild 500 miles ago
New brakes 1000 miles ago
The inside is a 9.75 and the body is a 9.25
The only issues at this time are a broken cup holder, flaking paint around the widshield metal, and some dash lights are out.

I was a lurker 2 years ago and successfully rebuilt my 1998 XJ6 tranny for less than $600 with information I gleaned from this forum. Then I sold the car. I always felt guilty I did not donate to the forum, but I don't see that option now.

This is my 4th Jag. They are beautiful cars!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to be a contributor to this forum. I used to make my living as a mechanic a long time ago and I will familiarize myself with the Jaguar mechanics and electrics (yikes!!). I plan on having this car for a while.
