Welcome to the forum jaguarmaster510,

(I've moved your post to its own thread so everyone sees it)

Sorry to hear about the power loss issue.

Follow this link XJ X300 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Western US Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/w...t-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

Hope it's an easy fix.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome aboard, Robert

The high idle might be a dirty throttle body and/or mis-adjusted throttle cables....or faulty idle air control valve.

Is the check engine light coming on? If so, knowing the stored trouble codes would be very helpful.

I suggest posting re-posting this in the "X300" section where more eyes will see it, as not all members read every posting in the "New Member" section every day.

I might add that there are no rules against punctuation, upper-case letters, or individual sentences and paragraphs on this forum. Making postings easy to read helps others help you :-)

Cheers
DD
