Hello, my name is John and I live in Melbourne, Australia; I retired in 2006

I have just purchased a 1968 e type series 1 1/5 coupe from USA which is my first Jaguar. The car is in transit to CA and then will be shipped to Australia hopefully arriving late September. I have joined the local Jaguar Car Club.

I am very interested in learning all about my car including completing the work on it.

Hi John and welcome to this friendly forum.
I'll bet you're impatient to see your new girl.
Perhaps the most iconic Jaguar.
This is your section
E type ( XK-E ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
and let's have a pic when she arrives.

Welcome to the forum John,

What a wonderful first Jaguar. One of the greatest Bill Lyons designs. Follow Steve's link to the E-Type section for help and advice.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Also, please visit the Australia / New Zealand Regional section to find members in your part of the World:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/australia-new-zealand-51/

It's going to seem a very long wait until September.

Graham
