I purchased my 2005 S-Type in September 2010 and I love it. This car has always been on my "bucket list".

I have had a few headlight issues but other than that, it runs extremely well.

I also own 05 S type (R model) and loved the car (not so much during fill up)
but anyhow.. welcome, I m sure you will be able to fix your head light. (droppy headlight is a common problem and can be done just by adding a screw) look it up and you will be amazed on how easy fix it is.

BTW as mentioned above, your headlight is an easy and cheap fix!
