New member from Bedford, NH
I have a 2005 X-Type. I think it's a great car, but I KNEW it would be expensive to fix if/when something went wrong. The car has about 68,000 miles, and I just experienced the (apparently "more common than you'd hope") exploding transfer case. Luckily, I bought the extended warranty, so I should only have to worry about the deductible. I'll be calling Jaguar today.

welcome aboard JF
good to have you here as part of the forum
The X typers will be happy to welcome you onboard I'm sure and help where they can.....hopefully resolving any issues you have and save some $$$ in the future.
Do your homework and check out the many many posts on the X type in that section.

One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.

Hey all,
Good news! After a few days of answering questions about my Jaguar, the "warranty" company finally authorized the repair. I'll probably get my car back next week.
